Salvaged Rubbish Displayed

Our Apartment buildings has an unusual rubbish drop spot. From it we have found and given new life to a myriad of objects. In getting ready for several art fairs, some of my lucky finds have come in handy .

old frames- to frames with a new life

  • pulled nails and molded bits

  • scrubbed with soapy water

  • gently sanded surface

  • wiped glass, preserved in this one

  • cut fresh backboard and matting

  • added my original art

crib railings- to display screen

  • dusted rails

  • drilled one end for barrel screws- stepped up from small bit to stepped drilled bit

  • cut sanded, and attached feet and legs

  • wrapped washi paper covers

  • added hanging hooks and art

feet & planks- to display riser

  • measured small plank against table top plank

  • marked plank for screws and pegs

  • drilled with stepped bits

  • twisted barrel bolts into holes

  • screwed feet in place

  • placed on table and cover with jewelry and etched bottles
