Create Sustainably

I was looking at complex intentions based around some wishful thinking of a being a perfect person and brand and what I thought people expected of me.  I shifted my mindset to the core of why I do what I do, knowing everything else will fall into place if I focus on that.  Whether it is art, jewelry, products, or living, my reason boils down to a desire to create sustainably.

Sustainability suggests how we live our lives with our responsibility to this earth. This is reflected in the materials I use, and various practices to reduce a negative impact on other people and our environment.  Additionally, creating sustainably means creating without pushing myself to burnout and exercising my creativity every day. It is more sustainable to keep fresh ideas moving into sketches and art making, instead of getting weighed down by other tasks involved in running a business and daily life.

I would encourage you to think about sustainability on the broad scale in your own life with consistent growth in your responsibility to this earth, to other people, and to yourself.  If we approach life with the mindset of focusing on our core reason, things will naturally fall into place. It will not feel hard to make eco-friendly decisions, consider the lives of other people, or look at our own needs.
